View this post on Instagram Day 40: Paint and Rust If I gave myself more time, I could have made this better. It was still a good exercise. I was looking for something to try to recreate quickly and I took a photo a year ago of some peeling paint and rust on a pole outside Stocker. I used a few paint layers to get the gradient effect and the closest I could get to the straight chips was a square brush and working with a mask. The more I do these, the more I wish I had taken a painting class in the past. I feel some of the techniques I'm learning through trial and error is a basic thing in traditional painting. #100daysofshadersandtextures #100daychallenge #100daysproject #100dayschallenge #100dayproject #metal #paint #rust #substance3d #substance #substancepainter #learningprocess #ouscrippsmfa A post shared by Hope Moore (@hopemoore27) on Jun 19, 2020 at 9:16pm PDT Inspiration photo: Resources:Substance 3D
