This will probably be written in stages..
I'm blogging because I'm taking a break from working on my client's site..
*Yawn* I'm going to help with the tour at 10 this morning..Matt said he needed the hour..so do I and I told him I'd take his tour like, 2-3 weeks ago..mostly because 6-10 people in wheelchairs are suppose to go..imagine that plus another 5-10 people wanting tours because it's cold and dreary out and they thought a tour would be great since they think Columbus State is one building..yeah, somehow CSCC can hold 23,000 students in ONE building! lol not really..then they look at me weird when I tell them to bundle up or take an umbrella..what cracks me up is that I've given tours to some cute guys who wore short sleeved shirts in freezing weather and were fine with it..don't ask me how.........but they were nice...
Plus, I have SO much work to get done, if I don't get up there by 10, I wouldn't go until 1pm and lose hours of time to work on crap..like seeing Suzanne about Blackboard, taking photos of an ASL class and/or the Human Performance Center, finish these info cards about the buildings, collect more events to add for the paper, talk to friends, eat something, workout for 20 min. or so, etc..
I Can't Believe I Fell Asleep
W'all (Me, Kyle, two of his friends, Matt, Jenn, Chris, Matt's friend who I can never remember the name of, and Orlando) went to see Underworld: Evolution..
I got there at like, 8pm because I heard I was supposed to get there around 7:30/8:00 and later 8/9pm..I then found out the movie was at 9:50..luckily, it was Easton..I like Easton..they have a Huntington ATM there..lol just kidding..the stores are nice, it's just that they are WAY expensive..over the last year or so, I've learned that shopping doesn't mean buying..it means looking..and at Easton, it seems to mean looking at clothes you wish you could afford and act like you can while there..Though, I do have to say Forever 21 actually had affordable clothes that looked cool..I so gotta go back there!
Well, Kyle bumped into me and was like, "Follow me.." so I did...back to his work..I met some of his friends he works with..they seem to be all girls (hello, it's Kyle, what should I expect? He probably took the job because of that)..they were cool people we all hung out for a while..finally! other people that shop fast! most of my friends take forever in one store..I go through a place in five min..
Well, we all get together and see the movie..I'm wondering if there was something in my ICEE..it tasted great, I just practically passed out during the movie! It had a lot of action, too..and of course, a needless sex scene..it cracks me up because so many movies put sex scenes in when the scene before it shows that they were going to have sex..but no! Our minds wouldn't get that, lets add the sex scene and make the movie so long we gotta cut an important part and even though the scene slows down the movie, sex sells..whatever..
But anyway..I fall asleep for a couple of minutes, but wake up for the best part of the movie: the end fight scene..it was cool..
My Dream Wedding (if I Ever Have One)
Well, my half-sis, Adrea, is gettin' married in July! I get to do the photos! Her wedding will be cool! I guess it is going to be a simple wedding at a church and then a cookout (how cool is that???!) and the wedding cake will be a pumpkin-flavored one..mmmm..I love pumpkin!
But yeah, my dream wedding (if I ever have one and had full creative power over it lol) keeps changing because I steal the awesome ideas of my friends weddings..of course my dream wedding has been a pot-luck toga wedding for years now, but I have changed it since the last time I posted about it:
first: It will be a toga wedding..my dress, and my bridesmaid dresses will all be dresses that look like ancient greek/roman outfits..lol so would the guys outfits, probably going more toward ancient greek with them, but nothing that they'd be embarrassed to wear, I hope..
Everything would be deep red, bright white, maybe some purple somewhere, and foresty green..
The table cloths would be white, so the photos don't have a colored tint on people's faces over the tables..
as for the guests, no one would be admitted without a sheet that would be wrapped around them in some crazy way..we'd give sheets at the door..mainly because I hate dressing up and I know SO many people who avoid weddings because they need to dress up..so at my dream wedding, no one has to where unconfortable dresses and shoes (except maybe me lol)..
It would be a kid-friendly event until about 8 or 9pm the wedding night and then the alcohol comes out and people can get drunk if they want..
The whole wedding would be services done by friends (instead of them giving gifts)..my friends who do fashion design can create the dresses, my chef friends can make the cake, everyone can bring food and music in which DJ friends of mine can play something cool..I have SO many friends who can sing and dance and we'd have karoke..photographer friends could do photography and there will be a one-time use camera on each table along with bubbles!
I feel that a wedding should be a fun party (hense the costumes) celebrating life..so it's not going to be quiet and boring like so many weddings are..it's going to be loud and hopefully fun..I guess it would be fun no matter what for me because I'd be getting married to someone I love..
Also: it would be indoors with art by artist friends on the walls to look like it's outside (large murals)..probably in a church because of the beautiful architecture, but unless the guy I marry is Christian or Jewish or something, we'd have an "officient" like my friends Connie and David..so it's not religious..
I was talking to Barbara about dream weddings and I told her I'm stealing her idea..a THREE day wedding!!! first day is getting together with friends and family, day 2 is the actual wedding, and day 3 is the going-away dinner for those who flew in to see the wedding..that would be fun..
I always say if I ever have a wedding because there is always an option the guy I someday fall in love with doesn't believe in weddings or marriage..that would be ok..I could handle that..
Let's just hope this guy isn't a PETA activist and a vegan..I like meat too much..but I guess it would be true love if he could put up with me eating steak or KFC in front of him lol..
Well, I gotta get ready to go..I'll finish the post at school..
