Matt* and I were at Walmart because I wanted to stop there and at the time, either I was driving Matt home, or he was driving me home.
Well, we were there and I wanted to go to the crafts department and we couldn’t find it. I went through a back door and found a sign saying something about a store selling things from the past was upstairs. There were two elevators. Betty* came out of one and went by us. We went and stood by the nearest elevator and this one girl I’m friends with, stood near the other. I was getting impatient and hers opened up first, so Matt and I decided to go with her.
When we got in, the elevator got smaller and I read that it takes 5 minutes to get to the top and I freaked out because I didn’t think there was enough air for all three of us and I got out.
Then, later, Betty came back and I decided to ride with her. The whole time I was by the elevators I remember hearing static or something like cable wires snapping. They were even louder when Betty and I got in the elevator. She said it was normal and that it always does that. So the elevator started to move and I saw the 5 minute timer start counting down. About 2 1/2 minutes later, the elevator tipped over 30-45 degrees to the right and sent us flying against the wall. We freaked out!
It eventually evened out and it seemed to be stuck, but I looked up and saw a warehouse ceiling as if there was no ceiling for the elevator. It rotated 180 degrees and we got out.
Later, I remember being back in the past and at someone’s house when they were having a get together. I found out that it was a New Year’s party. I remember someone that looked like my friend Lynn* in the dream. Looking at an old radio, a bad transmission came through and it was a saxophone playing “Auld Lang Syne.”
Earlier, I remember being in Mr. Barry’s* class, but being in Mrs. Green’s* classroom. We turned in our Great Gatsby books, but I forgot to turn mine in and went to the library. On the way, I was bored and did a dancing twirl thing. I remember that it felt like summer.
I went in the library and I thought that the books weren’t there, so I gave my book to a friend who would know where to put it. Then, in psychology class (second period), I played a “Where was I?” game with Marie*. She later left to go to her next class and this other, older girl that was sitting in my usual seat asked to play, but we didn’t have enough time. I took another seat at a desk and someone scooted me up close to a TV screen. I said, “I don’t want to be this close.” I scooted back. Scott* sat behind me and to my left and he put his hand on my left shoulder. I think we were going out in my dream. Well, in the class we watched The Road to El Dorado.
