I vaguely remember coding these 3D animated flamingos to form a line. I made them look around as if they were trying to line up with each other, but I had coded the location of this invisible line. The looking around was fake, but it was believable.
There was also a part where I remember moving 3-dimensional “blocks” with a center sphere. Effects were added to the sphere to create a “fog” or “mist.”
I remember going into an apartment and finding my place full of other people’s stuff. The woman that lived there had kids apparently because there were toys and things with cartoons everywhere – including Winnie-the-Pooh.
I realized I was in the past before I moved in.
I left and walked out onto a porch where there was a girl with a cool hat and knitted bag. She was looking at her phone and smoking a cigarette.
I accused her of being the one who sent me back in time. I said “time” in a weird accent and she mocked it. She asked, “Did it help?”
I remember playing a VR game. The setting was in a “town” and I found my way stealthy into an “office” or whatever that was a one-room shed designed to look like a place to store stuff to explore a nearby lake or forest.
The story was told through interaction with items and areas of the room. The areas were marked by a floating white ball (like in Beyond: Two Souls) and I remember having to hold a button (or make a hand gesture) and a circle would form around the white ball before triggering the item/area.
One part had a task where I had to find a label or word on the bottom of an item. I remember picking up the items and turning my hand/controller to look underneath them, but messed up the position of the items and made too much noise. An enemy person was about to enter the office, so I tried to hide. I finally found a location behind the door that worked, but I thought about looking up playthroughs on YouTube to see the other options.
I can’t remember the order…
I remember being in a “dream game” designed to look like a city (I’ve been playing Watch Dogs in waking life) that reminded me of a combination of Chicago (from Watch Dogs) and Cleveland (where I went to a conference recently and had to walk and drive through downtown). Part of the dream was in what seemed to be a combination of the lobby of the Wyndham Hotel in Cleveland, the cafe at the Ohio State University’s Ohio Union, and a restaurant/lobby from another dream. It felt like I was at a conference.
There was a part where a security camera video of my dream game avatar choking out a bad guy went viral and people were happy I got rid of the bad guy, but I don’t remember doing it. It was like I had paused to look at my phone “offline” and other programming made my character sneak up on the bad guy while he was ordering food at a counter.
Later, I had to leave and had options, one of which was going to a nearby courtyard, which I thought was a trap and I was going to have to face a gang. I remember avoiding these tall, strange-looking Men in Black “agents.” Like in most dreams they appear in, I didn’t feel they were inherently dangerous or evil, just off-putting and I wanted to avoid them.
I ended up deciding to talk to another type of “agent” – one that seemed like a nice guy my age and was trustworthy. He was good-looking, too. I felt bad, though, because I told him to pick me up at 4:30 p.m. (I think) and I’m surprised he waited for me when I didn’t leave the lobby until 4:45 p.m. He didn’t know where to pick me up, so I had to walk down a block or so (while avoiding the MIB) to get to him.
I woke up around this time and thought, “I have to remember this for my dream journal!” This made the other dreams involve telling people about my dreams.
I remember it being about time travel or a second “run” of a dream where I was tasked with either saving a woman at a BP gas station.or being a witness.
I got there too early, so I went inside the convenience store. I remember thinking it was weird that I stepped DOWN into the store. The store was super dark and for some reason, I thought it was because drug addicts went there and they were sensitive to light or something. I pretended to look for an energy drink at a display.
Later, I remember using the outside restroom. A lot of other travelers were there, including a little older than middle-aged man. For some reason, they were confused they couldn’t open the door. The man tried to and I could see the shadows of him in the light coming from under the door. I mumbled, “Just a minute!” and he started singing, “I’ve gotta pee…”
Later, I thought I had left my cell phone in the restroom, but they turned into stacks of Post-It Notes. I told someone that I knew it was a dream because that explained why the phone turned into Post-It Notes.
I found a string that was like a tough spiderweb band and I pulled on it and it tore a long “crack” in my bedroom ceiling and weakened it enough that the ceiling started to cave in.
