More notes from dreams I’m too lazy to write:
Seeing clearly. Lucid Dream. Threw purple rabbit over head and into the window. CSCC bear and binoculars. Looked out window. Back alley. Raining. Lawnmower sound. Girl and her father. Tall doors. Hanna Hart fighting with “Christine” [who was] anorexic due to subscription boxes for foodies according to Italian boyfriend.
Last minute presentation for a studio on Fourth of July. Couldn’t remember topic. Blue paper with sign-in info. Immersive tech vs. video tools. Laura. Boxed lunch. Spaghetti. Cole slaw. Dogs on the bus. I’m out of eggs.
Jane Lynch on a rampage with a chainsaw – electrocution. An object marrying another object. Job where I was part of a team that smoothed the ground. Evil eagles.
Ammonia/pneumonia makes the water heavier. Ships.
Writing a story about a scientist. Conference is in San Diego, but in Florida. 60+ hours to drive. Kept getting Yahoo! 136 min. Ghost in dorm. Bad door. Cats spider mouse. Radioactive. Boiling cold.
Archy with a “Y.” Getting a better seat.
This one, I might write down. Archy might have been “The Boss.”
I remember working in a place with an open office format with walls all made of windows. I wore “professional” clothing: a blouse, suit jacket, shirt, and uncomfortable flats.
Some others in the department were gathered outside of the area, but I had something I had to do. I got up and went to wherever I was going. I passed an office on my left that was a utility closet that was converted. I had a memory in the dream of one of the coworkers saying they were converting it into an office before the person was hired. Today, the place was still used for storage, but there were a trash can and a can of Coke on the desk. The person wasn’t there, though.
I walked through the main area, near the gathered people and someone asked who I was and someone told them my first name. A new guy—a boss, I think—followed me and said, “Hey…girl…um…hey, ‘Bob Hope!'” I stopped. That was a new one.
I turned and he came over to meet me. At the end of our short conversation, I offered my hand to shake his. We shook hands and I said, “It was nice meeting you.” He looked confused and said, “We’ve met before.”
A little later, he herded us to an outdoor, triangular, park-like area. The windows allowed us to see our computers, but the fluorescent lights looked weird against a gray sky.
It was a nice temperature, but it started breezily. The boss started talking and it started snowing/hailing/raining. I was sitting off to the side, but toward the front on a bench. I said, “It’s a good thing I brought this!” I had my backpack to my left and took out my umbrella. I opened it and covered myself and those around me.
A woman who looked like a past coworker started talking to my left and I remember getting distracted with something as I listened. They stopped talking. I looked up at the woman and noticed she and others were looking straight up. She explained that there was a gaping hole in the clouds. I looked up and together we said, “Now the clouds are spiraling.”
The whole sky of clouds began to sink down like a layer of dense fog.
Then, my alarm woke me up.
I somehow went back to that office when I fell back asleep. I remember working on my computer and someone turned the lights out, not knowing I was there.
Later, I was talking to a boss in his office and I asked if I was supposed to attend some training. He said that I should go and take care of my “adopted son, Sean.” I laughed because I thought he had met my friend, Sean, from waking life when he was drunk or in a good mood and possibly acted creative and child-like. I pictured Kara, his wife, saying it’s like taking care of an additional son. I then went, “So I can take the rest of the day off?”
I was driving at night with Axel* as a passenger. I was telling him about some place that provided election information for people who didn’t research. He was pissed off because it could have been biased.
* Name was changed.
I vaguely remember talking to someone at an event. She was giving out fliers at a table. Later, some guy sat at a cleared area of the table to eat a sandwich and a piece of pizza. The girl had to use the restroom so I covered her duties.
