I dreamed a lot last night, but I’ve forgotten most of it…
The top thing I remember is meeting Warren* and maybe Charlie* at a fountain at a park. I remember a tall pedestal in the center, but I don’t remember what was on it – maybe an angel?
I remember the concept was that the fountain was where you can access dreams and memories. Warren was trying to show me his memories or something and I remember being more wowed by the concept and meeting people at a place that leads to other places.
In the dream, I remembered being there before (in 2016?) and it having something to do with Charlie. I wanted to do something with projection and switching projection and didn’t know how. I’ve been working in TouchDesigner lately and thought, “Hey, now I know how to do what I wanted to do years ago! I should look up that post on Facebook about it to remember what it was.” I also wanted to prove that I HAD been here before.
As for any of the dreams or memories entered via the fountain, I vaguely remember a small bedroom or attic with whitish walls and a slanted ceiling. I have forgotten any plots or other details – probably because I was so determined to prove I’ve been at this darn fountain before.

Maybe caffeine DOES have an effect, but then again, the caffeine source has vitamin B6 as well.
I remember visiting my aunt, but, instead of her house, she lived in a very large condo. I had a cat and took it with me for some reason. She never liked cats – probably because of the shedding, so she REALLY didn’t like it in my dream because there was a lot more space to keep clean.
I remember the walls were white and the place looked new. However, the basement where we were hanging out had hardly any furniture. I remember picturing eating dinner in each of the rooms.
She plans on willing her place to me after she dies and I thought, I’m going to have to split this into two units and rent them out. It’s way too large for one person.
This supposedly was in my aunt’s backyard. In waking life, she lives in the city, but in my dream, she had a lot of yard and it had a hill and an old, decaying wooden building at the edge of the property.
I remember following someone and falling onto the hill. I said something and the made me realize I was dreaming. I said, “Woah! I’m dreaming!” and I was happy I didn’t wake up. I wanted to explore.
I even remember rubbing my hand on the grass. I walked to the old building in an effort to remember details and explore.
I opened the door and went inside. It was empty, but sunlight came in through the many holes of the rotten wood. I realized it was a very old church. There was probably once a time when they had wooden pews or chairs and a preacher at the front. I even found two small “furnace” places were a fire would have been lit on each side.
Later, outside, I wanted to wake up to write the dream down. I told a character that I don’t know how to wake up. She told me to try to read something so the high amount of information would trigger me to wake up. I thought it was worth a try.
I found a large sculpture/fountain with graffiti and stickers on it and tried to read it.
I went into another dream in the same location, but I thought I was awake. I was telling people about the church and went out to find it. Instead of a church, there was a beer display with 12 and 24-packs. I tried explaining to a store clerk that there was once a church that stood here.
The weird thing was, I walked past the fountain with all the graffiti.
I remember being in a “compound” that held training classes of some sort. I was trying to join a different class, but I was on a waiting list or something and missed a class that I felt was important and was mad about it. The set up reminded me a little of the middle school I attended.
I remember being in a parking lot outside of some big box grocery store (Walmart or one of those giant Krogers) at night. I was working with some older, fit guy and we were on a two-person team for some kind of competition that dealt with making food/cooking. I’m competitive, so I looked for things in the car to give us an advantage. The guy said to not do that because we had to use only things we could get in the store today.
We planned on some kind of “power wrap” with lots of peanut butter, bananas, and strawberries.
I woke up right before the competition started.
I remember driving down a city street during the day and I got mesmerized by the city trucks in front of me spraying lines on the road. I remember swerving around and wondered if I was screwing up the lines. One of the trucks in front of me turned left and there was another one in front of me and I, again, drove while watching them spray a small white line down the center of the road that was still wet in some areas from an earlier downpour.
My car started to slow down, so I looked up just in time to see I followed the truck into an intersection and through a red light. I barely made it out of the intersection without getting hit, but I realized the gray sedan I thought was coming at me was actually parked at a meter. I parked just past an entrance to a multi-level parking garage with a brick facade and got out and started walking.
I was worried I’d get a traffic ticket and there were several police cars driving around, but none appeared to be targeting me. I walked toward an intersection, but I didn’t want to walk all the way down there when there was a brick-paved alley to my left. They served as entrances/exits from more parking garages/underground parking. The brick looked weird as if it was almost “laminated” with a heavy clear resin of some sort so you could see the brick, but it could be cleaned easily.
I walked down that alley and turned left. I kept thinking it felt like Florida, but geographically, I can’t recall where I was on a map. I’ve been to places like D.C. or here in Columbus that can feel muggy and have 5-10 min. downpours making me say that it “feels like Florida.” So the weather wasn’t a good clue to my overall location.
It started to downpour and I didn’t care. I went by a brick building on my left with interactive displays. However, they were turned off since they used electricity and it was too wet to do anything with them safely.
I was going in the direction I came from, but I went through an open courtyard with a fountain that most tourists would use as a place to meet up near the “entrance” (I saw this like some kind of “park” like a Universal Studios or set). There was a group meeting there – looked like two military-looking guys, one of their girlfriends (or it was a sister), and their parents. I walked through and noticed the most excited of the military guys was holding a silver Canon Rebel xTi. I was carrying mine (that’s all black) and I remember thinking, “In-shape AND a photographer? Now that’s hot…” I kept walking, though.
On my left was a corner restaurant/attraction that had a 1950s pink sign with retro neon lines and it was a 50s/60s restaurant. I remember liking their pancakes and thought about buying some French toast there. I talked myself out of it because I supposedly always eat there when I visit (and I recently visited within the year). I walked through another restaurant/eating area that was full of tourists. It was so tight, I had to ask people to move or move their bags to get through.
I remember going into a shop of some sort and they had a garden tool (really, it was a modified circular saw blade) that broke up heavy dried mud. The female co-owner hated the fact that I’d ask questions of the customers like, “Does it catch on the non-dug-up area?” etc. I said that this would make a great gift for my dad since he likes to garden. My dad showed up and we started building these things. They had tiny brass pieces and I struggled to get them lined up and my dad just took it and said, “Let me see that!” I got mad and said, “You just knocked the pieces on the ground!” I looked down at some beige “super shag” carpet (like what I have in my apartment) and there were a lot of those little pieces. The owner said not to worry about it and gave me more of them.
I remember the tourist couple having issues building their garden tool. The man asked her if she thought that the spiritual integrity of the place has changed since they first got there. She said that she thought they were OK at first, but the man said, “They were never OK. They were a shop when we first walked in and still a shop, looking for profit.”
I finished my garden tool and showed it off to my dad. I thought it was neat how it magnified the force of your hand to make it go through dirt easily. I said that he could probably use it since he had a garden. I thought about how I was never home and stayed in hotels. I wasn’t sure why I had a home – nothing in it should go bad from being gone so long, but then, remembered I had pets. 🙁 That made my heart sink to think they would be starving. (In waking life, I have no pets. The pets in my dream were my parents’ pets in waking life.)
I woke up.
I saw some stupid, poorly directed/written horror movie last night about some demon making people kill themselves and the first person who finds them or the one who witnesses it is the next to kill themselves.
So in my dream, some guy was about to kill himself due to this demon. It was outdoors and twilight. I grabbed Charlie’s* hand and told him to run before he does it. We ran across some lawn and around a gray brick building. We were next to a walkway next to a large lake.

I remember co-workers being promoted (title and slightly extra pay) and my bosses had to go out and get another title approved to promote me to some kind of communications/writing role. I remember going to meetings in windowless conference rooms waiting on another co-worker. I had to dress better, too. 😛
I remember leaving and locking up a building at night wondering if I should turn off a light I forgot to turn off.
