I had to delete /gilmore…
I had to delete /gilmore because I lost the owner’s email a LONG time ago and they’ve had the account since I startd hosting and haven’t uploaded anything or even contacted me..so if the owner is reading this, I’m sorry..please contact me..as for the other hostees, many who don’t have their site up, yet at least have stuff uploaded..those who don’t, I will contact..the reason why I’m doing this is because I have two people asking to be hosted who look like they will use the accounts more than those who have had an account for months now..I realize many of you don’t have the time to switch over files, but at least upload a page saying “coming soon” or something..Note: those listed on the “hostees” page are not the ones I’m talking to, they are fine..FTP accounts cost me 5 dollars/year each..I have 20 FTP accounts..4 not being used by the owners and 2 open now for the new hostees..my bandwidth is costing me 5-10 dollars a month now..it might be my sites doing all the trouble (I’ve got 7 on here, so it makes since)..I just hope that some of the “coming soon” hostees aren’t hot linking off Whatever Creations by hosting their image here and puting it on an Expage or something..my site has used over 7GBs of bandwidth meaning over 150,000 page views and it’s only the 23rd of the month! I think I know who it is, so I’ll try something next month..but geez, 5 dollars might not sound like much, but with 50 dollars/year to host, 15×5=75 dollars/year for the extra FTP accounts, and now $5-10/month = 60-120 dollars/year..just to keep my site running costs 185-340 dollars a year..I’d like to cut bandwidth down, so if find a hostee hot linking and stealing WAY too much bandwidth, I might have to ask them to leave..and I really don’t wanna do that..Disk space itself isn’t a problem..with all of the sites on here I still have 200+mbs left..I don’t wanna move to a new server because I’d lose the subdomain option and bandwidth would still be a problem..If worse comes to worse, I’ll have to start asking hostees for 5 dollars a year and if they move, I’ll pay them back for the months they didn’t use..If I get info on who is using the excessive bandwidth, I’ll have to ask them to pay part of the 5-10 dollar upgrade..

If you donate money, I’ll plug you in the top of this blog for a month per every 5 dollars donated.. and on the splash page for a month (on top of the blog plug) for every 10 dollars.. I feel bad asking for donations, but I’m runing out of money..I don’t have a job (yet) and I’m getting lousy money from the government (for my disability..they suck! I get about less than 500 dollars a month while living with my parents, and I’d get 500 dollars a month if I move out, yet my mom who is married and doesn’t have to pay for me, since I pay rent, gets 900 dollars for disability!!??) I can’t move out BECAUSE my rent would be more than my income!! The government thinks I’m still living off my parents..I AM living off their gas, but I’m paying 200 dollars/month for rent and still paying money for food at school, supplies, half of my school books, my websites, soon I’ll pay for a Psychology class (about 145 dollars) and a Camera for Photography (about 300-600 dollars), software for school (around 1000-1500 dollars if I don’t get the free bootleg copies from my friends), film for my camera (does B&W cost more?), etc. It drives me nuts that my friends live with their parents and don’t have to pay a dime for rent (but they have to pay for their food, gas, car insurence, and sometimes school)..
Sorry for complaining..I’m just a little stressed about the money situation right now..

Ugh, sorry about your bandwidth problems… Hmmm I don’t really direct link anything except for a few blend entries & one of my buttons. And I have my PSD’s hosted at another site.. So I don’t think that there’s much I can do. I would love to donate 5 dollars, but I’m broke! And my parents also told me that they don’t want me to have to pay for a website because it’s “unnessesary” in their words.. I think the best thing you can do to help is to get rid of those hostees who haven’t done anything for MONTHS & maybe have people upload their graphics at boomspeed if they want it to be direct link. Also, I have a question: How much bandwidth do you have? Are you close to running out?

Blend entries and a button shouldn’t be the problem..usually it’s site that high amount of hits (such as Expage) that creates that kind of problem..I know how it is with people thinking sites are “unnecessary” but I don’t agree..Your artwork and writing and other skills could get a you a job someday..so how is that unnecessary..but don’t worry, Michelle, you’re one of the better hostees :o) I wouldn’t delete your site (or any other one that’s currently open) unless something REALLY bad happens..I am alloted about 6GBs of bandwidth a month and I’m already over 7GBs..it costs 5 dollars for each extra GB..
