After turning in the paperwork (like grades and schedule, etc.), my financial aid rep said it was “no problem” and I’ll be able to take classes Winter Quarter..WELL, it said financial aid payments were due by December 28th..on December 27th, I was sent an email saying my classes were dropped because of non-payment..
SO basically I’m not signed up for ANY classes next quarter! They are both Special Topics so it could be a year or two until they’re taught again..if they don’t email me back, I have to pay $650 dollars or so (2 classes with $75 late fee on both classes) with my credit card..I don’t have the money to pay for these classes and my dad makes too much money to get a Pell Grant and stuff..
I told my parents to give me money instead of the PS2 and business expenses they were giving me for Christmas..I should be receiving $50 from one job and $345 from another one, but other than that, I’m practically broke..
That makes almost the right amount, but I still need to pay for half of books and full rent next month plus the extra $250 I owe my parents..
They had 2-3 weeks to tell me of a problem or something else due, but I didn’t get anything..
It’s amazing that I can’t get a Pell Grant or anything like that when I’m paying $200 rent to my parents and they aren’t paying for ANY of the tuition..just half the books (which is basically me paying for it and just not paying rent for a month)..I really need to pay for these business expenses ($125 or so) because I need to make money..NOW..
[Update] My financial aid rep emailed me back..she sent in authorization weeks ago! I bet you it’s the school being stupid again..[/update]
