*Yawn* I’m Tired…
Well..
Tuesday
I went to school at 10am to do a tour and luckily Jennifer was there and did it..she went FAST!! My tour on Monday took 1 1/2 hours and hers was done in 25 min.! I found out (after asking Matt, Jacq, and others..I could have asked only one person, but I’m always worried, so I ask 3 lol) I didn’t have to go at 10am in the morning every day! I got my Thursday and Friday free again..at least until I start volunteering more..
I went to choir..we’re doing interesting music..I think it’s Igor Stravinski’s Mass and his “Symphony of Psalms” or something like that..I originally switched to Alto on Monday since the SOP was so high for Sopranos (I’m a 2nd Soprano) but Tuseday, I switched back to soprano and sang really quietly because I haven’t really sung in a choir in 9 months and I have to work on my voice again..
I went out to work for the Welcome Team and the sky looked DARK..like almost like the new “War of the Worlds” movie..then the lightning got bad..so we went inside..
We (Kyle, me, and Becca) were sitting in Nestor’s “Quiet Lounge” but it anything but quiet because Kyle is NUTS! (In a good way)..he reminds me of my Saggitarius friends..he’s like a 5-year-old with Mania and ADD stuck in a 20-something-year-old body..he was making me laugh for hours! It would have been so boring if he wasn’t there! I think he annoyed the others, but not me! I like being around hyper people :o)
He started singing songs he made up..they sounded cool..he’s a good singer and he would rock on something like “Who’s Line is it Anyway?” because he can take rap songs and sing them as opera or gospel and stuff and it’s neat! He started calling people “Banana Basket” and “Home Skillet Fish Fry”..”Hamburger” was one of them, too..
He had bad allergies, so his ears were a little stuffed up so he kept hearing people weird..Matt was like, “Well, folks, I think I’m going to head out…” and Kyle was like, “Dude, did you just say you were going to Hell?” and another person said, “I’m going to go to the lab..” and Kyle was like, “Did you just say you were going to feed your lab?” and the guy was like, “Yeah, sure..it’s not a lab, it’s a golden retreiver..” Later, Alex was saying something about having a dog on a leash and I was like, “You’re going to the computer lab, too??” Kyle was the only one who got it..of course, because it was his joke to begin with..
I remember him in the talent show back in April..I think I put him as fourth place (really close to third), but I don’t know what others rated..he’s a good dancer :o) He said they screwed up his song..I think I remember that..
I worked until 5pm..
Wednesday
It was my first day at the Student Activities desk..I SUCK!!! She trained me for 45min. and it was so much stuff, that when one guy came in, I referred him to a brochure instead of getting out a CSCC planner/booklet thingy and point out the clubs and offer to see if they were in their office..I kept asking for help and freaking out..one guy (foreign) finally made me understand he needed Tracy’s signatures and I told him to wait and I’d get her..he said he would wait..She was talking to this nice guy about buying a washer/dryer and I didn’t want to interrupt..by the time she was done, I was like, “This man says he needs your signature..” and she was like, “What man?”..THE GUY LEFT!!!! He told me he would wait :( I suck..
After that, I checked my CSCC email and found out that Gene (teacher for the web class) emailed us on Monday, but the email didn’t show up until Wednesday! I also found out there was a bomb threat that said there was a bomb to go off at noon Wednesday..
I went to the Student Ambassador meeting..it was cool..at the end, David and other senior ambassadors threw candy to us for answering questions about the school like “where is..” questions..everyone knew I knew a lot of them..mostly from wanting to do a building guide for over a year..now it’s changing lol the bookstore will be the new Fitness Center and a new Bookstore will be built across the street (Cleveland Ave.)..wow..I wonder if that will happen before I graduate again..
after that, I went up to the Music Video Pro class and didn’t knock on the door..I was having trouble carrying my crap and was like, “Ok, I DO have a car!!!” so I decided to drop the stuff in the car..
I go out of Davidson Hall and lightning strikes right above my head! I thought, “Well, it was as close as that one lightning bolt that went toward me two summers ago..I should be safe since I doubt it would strike above my head again..” Well my mind was like, “YOU ARE PUSHING YOUR LUCK, YOU IDIOT!!!” and “YOU COULD GET HIT!!!”..
Well..I got to my car and unlocked it and A CLOSER BOLT OF CLOUD TO CLOUD LIGHTING STRUCK EVEN CLOSER ABOVE ME!!! I screamed! I quickly went away and thought, “Oh, no! My car is unlocked!!!” so I went back, hoping not to get struck! As I type this, they just told about how a lot of people got struck by lightning yesterday! Luckily I was able to put my stuff in my car and go to class..
I found out that our group won the Bridgeview Project..I think it’s mostly thanks to Charlie, Chris, and Keith because they know how to present very well!! And Chris and Charlie did great with the product shots and infared photography!
Jim’s financial aid didn’t pay in time (3rd time in a row that happened) and needed to sign up for classes again..Madison Hall and maybe Rhodes Hall was “flashing” (what I call it when the fire alerms go off..they have flashing lights)..the cops were inside and people were evacuated..
Jim thought it was a bomb threat…….probably from a student whose financial aid didn’t pay in time and his classes dropped..
We have to make a music video and I’ve got it down to Kelly Clarkson’s “Behind These Hazel Eyes” (the story is like the “Next to You” song/video idea I had) or “Miss Independant”..
I wanna collab with Alex and/or Jim because Alex might need help and I’ve worked with Jim before..that way, we could check out the camera for 2-3 days in a row, use the same actors and the same sets..
At the meeting, Matt invited us abassadors to see the premier of War of the Worlds at the AMC Lennox..
So I asked different people how to get there and Jim said to take N. High, turn left on to 5th Ave. then turn left on Olentangy River Rd…Alex said to take Cleveland Ave. to I-670 west to 315 North to Lane Ave., turn left, then got on 315 South and there is an Olentangy River Rd. exit that goes right there..
When I was about to leave, cops and fire trucks came around the parking lot I was in..groups of people were evacuated..I tried to get photos, but it was dark, so the non-flash ones were blurry..
I found out that Alex, Matt, and Kyle were the only others going to the movie..Kyle rode with me..he’s an AWESOME passenger!! He had the window down saying, “HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!” to joggers and played with the radio and sang..I forgot to get over to the right lane to take the highway to the theater, so I took the way Jim said to go..
IT WAS WRONG!! I got lost! Kyle was able to all Matt to get directions and we finally got there in time..Matt and Alex were already in line, so that was cool..
It was packed! During the 20 min. of previews, Kyle would be like, “This movie looks cool!” and when there was an explosion, he’d verbally and physically act it out with his hands at the right time..lol! It was so much fun!
War of the Worlds
I gave it a 3 1/2 out of 5 stars..Alex gave it 2 out of 5, Matt gave it 3 out of 5, and Kyle gave it 4 out of 5..I agree with Matt that we would have gave more stars if they all died at the end..
THE ENDING SUCKED!! I did, however, loved the cgi work with the aliens and the awesome destruction scenes! You know that power on Tom Cruise’s face in the previews? That humans! I liked the action and suspense, but really, the ending was CRAP!! I liked the original movie better..and Independence Day was the best movie based on the War of the Worlds idea..at least people KNEW what killed the aliens..
I did like that the sound of the aliens..it sounded like the lower sounds of the ship in Close Encounters of the Third Kind instead of (the way Danny says it) “Beebeebeebeeeee”…
Weird
Just weird thought..for some reason lately, I’ve had on and off feelings of “doom” lol..I can’t explain it..I’ve always thought how would I think or what would I do if I could go back in time as myself younger and I have the mind I have now..what would it be like to see old technology, old things that would be later torn down, people that would die too young (and see if I couldn’t somehow change that), etc. Well, now it’s reversed..I’ve been looking at things and getting a weird sense of thinking that it’s one of the last times the thing I’m seeing will be there or the last time something will happen..it’s WEIRD! It’s getting worse as I near the time my stupid delusion is about..
