Dreams, last night’s dream, and dreaming tips

I would like to be part of a sleep study someday (for free) just to see if my sleep patterns are different or something because everyone I talk to say I dream A LOT and the dreams are extremely vivid and I can have dreams that seem to last for hours in a waking life time period of a half hour. I also start dreaming before I lose total consciousness when I sleep. I think that’s what makes me talk in my sleep.

I actually remember saying some things like, once I thought my pillows were planets and I remember telling my mom, “There isn’t enough planets!!!” (in that bad grammar, too), but most of the time, i’m unaware of what I’m saying or said.

But yeah, I like using my crazy vivid dreams for ideas to put in movies/screenplays and use things from dreams in designs and stuff.

So, last night’s dream

It was vivid, but now recalling it after being up so long and having other dreams makes this hard.

I remember being on campus (OSU or OSU-like) and it had a lot to do with driving. I was driving the majority of the time, but in one scene, my mom gave me and my friend, Sean, a ride to campus.

She parked in a parking lot and thought the guy in the car across from us was good looking and my age, so she tried to get me to talk to him. I didn’t know him, so I waited in the car. The guy and his dad left their car and my mom got out and broke into their car to get information about the son so I can call him up or she would.

(In waking life, my mom tries to set me up with random guys my age and actually tried to yesterday with our server. He was cute and nice, but my mom is crazy.)

Later, I remember trying to have a reason to go to this one dorm building (to spy on someone, maybe the queen) so I pretended to be delivering a matress. I parked on the lawn out front (not a parking space) and carried a gray soft air matress into the building. The building had neat architecture and a white hallway that had windows that had the sunlight come in very cool like.

There was a part of the dream where I was in a class or presentation and a friend from high school was there. She racognized me and wave and I waved back. When we took a break for lunch, I saw other high school friends and went over to talk to the first friend. One of the other friends didn’t see me and invited the first friend out to lunch and as a group, left. They didn’t see me there. I decided to wait in the auditorium/gym/whatever we were in.

Although I can’t remember in great detail, I think this is where I was recruited to be an assassin (sp?).

A young blonde girl (around 13 years old) was soon to become queen. She was bratty and the agency who recruited me thought she was going to follow in her mom’s footsteps and kill a lot of innocent people and attempt to take over the world and perhaps lead to its destruction.

The royal family was in the process of hiring another blonde girl (who looked like the blonde on American Dreams a little) to be a look-a-like for the queen in case she was in danger.

I didn’t think they looked that much alike. I only knew about this stuff because I was hired to advise the queen and partly for her protection. I felt the queen was a brat, but not evil. She was too young to be cunning and I felt that the look-a-like was the evil one.

Sean had also been recruited by the agency later and was able to get away with things because I told the royal family that he was my friend and could be trusted.

Somehow, later in the story when the army was being gathered secretly and the new young queen wanted to greet the students, large robotic babies were involved. I think they were bombs or video cameras and was to represent that the queen was still young and liked baby dolls (even at 13?), but underneath that exterior was a danger.

I walked by the line of baby bombs and line of students. I think I was the only one who knew what they were.

I was afraid the royal family knew I was part of the agency, so I went to my car and grabbed a weird weapon, It had a sterling silver butterknife handle, but the blade was white fiberglass that had been broken off. It would only be dangerous if it were pressed against the skin hard enough.

I put it in my back jeans pocket and went back to the line of students greeting the queen. I was called by the royal family to sit next to her as protection and for others to get to know me. To be fair (I told them), I decided to stand in line.

While in line, a member of the agency bumped into me and handed me another weapon, similar to the one I picked up in the car. However, this blade was shorter. The agent told me to take my place next to the queen and when I get a chance, kill her. I agreed to.

While in line, Sean was able to cut in line behind me and since he was taller, quicker, and stronger than I, he was in charge of fighting/killing the queens body guards so that I could get to the queen.

When we got in view of the queen, I noticed that she was on a light wooden platform with large steps leading up both sides without a banister. I was concerned about just how fast could I really move up these steps when the time came to act (a remnant feeling from waking life).

Sean and I stood in front of the platform. The brat queen was drunk and leaning back in her chair, complaining about being bored. A father figure to the girl came into the room, yelled at her and then, to my luck, grabbed her and pulled her down to our level to spank her.

I grabbed the girl from the father figure and tried to stab her with the sharper of my weapons. But it didn’t go through her dress and skin. I tried again harder and it worked! However the wound was too small. So I repeatedly stabbed her in the stomach. The girl looked at me with a “Is that all you got?” look and I stabbed her reapeatedly in the heart. She smiled with blood coming from her and LAUGHED.

That pissed me off.

So, I said, “You can’t laugh if I stab you in the throat!” and stabbed her three times in the neck. After that, she fell limp and died.

Somehow, I was able to escape the room and as I went down the hallway, the queen’s look-a-like was being ushed to the room I had just left. She looked very evil.

Later. I told my high school friend that they put a look-a-like in her place and she and I told another group of people why were think she’s a look-a-like and not the real queen. Like, she had no mole on her cheek and she was fatter than the first queen.

The look-a-like queen ordered to see every student, one-by-one.

Bad for me.

Because when I got there, she ordered her guard to kill me. Which he did with a sword through my stomach.

Later, I was telling my mom about how I liked this movie (yeah, it ended up being a film in my dream) because of how it was shot in first person and the audience only saw the movie from one P.O.V. throughout the movie.

now that i think about it, I wonder if the evil look-a-like wasn’t the real queen!

Another dream I had that I meant to write her, but have forgotten the plot was about time travel (again lol)

basically, the main character in the story could travel though time, but had no control over it. When the time changed, it “swept through” (the only way I can describe it) and you could watch the other time come at the character.

Dreaming tips

These things seem to get me to dream longer and more vividly.

- Sleep with your neck propped up and your head tilted back (this is good for sleep paralysis, too)

- Watch a visually stunning movie before going to bed

- Sleep with your TV on (low volume) ALL night

- Sleep with something on that makes random noises or flashes throughout the night (I’ve noticed the flashes can give me sleep paralysis and mild hallucinations while trying to sleep)

- Have someone touch you lightly while you are sleeping

- Have someone wake you up during REM sleep or just after

- Actually notice stuff in your life. Too many people go through life, ignoring random sensory imput. If you go throughout your day noticing how something feels (these keys of this keybord even), how something sounds (a person walking across a broken piece of sidewalk), how things taste, look, and smell, you will do the same in your dreams and recall them more easily. I also believe the more active your mind is remembering things like that in your life, the easier it is for your mind to create scenarios and often orginal plots while you sleep. I also believe this helps with brainstorming.
