101 Goals in One Year
July 4th, 2010Reposted from last night since FB seems to keep deleting it. Reworked to be organized like Grace’s.
Inspired by Amy Grogan’s post and http://community.livejournal.com/mission101/#entry_1154848 - I modified it to be a year and could only think of 68 73 goals because many of the ones I used to have, I’ve accomplished and I want to do some challenging stuff now.

TRAVEL AND EXPLORATION
1) Become successful at geocaching.
2) Travel abroad.
3) See Niagara Falls from the Canadian side.
4) Do the midwest road trip.
5) Fly in an airplane.
6) Spend a night in a bed and breakfast inn.
7) Drive to another state on a weekend for no reason at all. For the second time in my life.
8) Visit a new restaurant each week.
9) Visit a new park or event each month.
10) Hike/walk at least one trail in EACH Columbus Metro Park.
11) Visit Ohio Historical sites.
12) Go to the Harry Potter Wizarding World Theme Park.
13) See the Pacific Ocean.
HEALTH AND FITNESS
14) Get 30-60 min. of exercise per day.
15) Go one month without fast food. (Including salads)
16) Walk a 5k without losing breath or taking a break. Currently can walk 2+ miles without losing breath or taking a break.
17) Get my resting heart rate down to 55 bpm. Got it down to 58 once, but it still averages at 62.
18) Buy a wrist heart monitor to work on goal #17.
19) Join a gym and participate in classes.
20) Have another fitness assessment done.
21) Limber up enough to ride a bike again.
22) Be able to pull up my body weight.
23) Take martial arts classes.
24) Buy new running shoes.
25) 100 hours of outdoor walking. (0/100)
26) Hike/walk a trail that is at least one mile.
27) Attempt to climb a rock climbing wall.
28) Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day.
EDUCATION
29) Learn at least one new thing per day.
30) Teach someone at least one new thing per day.
31) Get gun lessons.
32) Get a concealed carry permit.
33) Buy a gun.
34) Build a robot.
35) Take painting classes.
36) Successfully grow tomatoes.
37) Solve a rubik’s cube.
38) Learn a new computer/web development coding language.
39) Parallel park at least once per week to get better at it.
40) Take a dance class
FINANCES
41) Get a non-temporary full-time job.
42) Get subteaching license. Had training, now I need a superintendent to sign my application.
43) Write and stick to a monthly budget.
44) Pay the “suggested” amount or more on credit cards.
CREATIVITY
45) Buy a new camera.
46) Take more photos.
47) Build my road trip mural/journal.
48) Finish a screenplay. Working on one.
49) Put my Web site back up.
ENTERTAINMENT
50) Read one new book a month.
51) Watch three new movies a week, each from a different genre, even if they suck.
52) Ride an upside-down rollercoaster.
53) Go to a drive-in movie.
54) See a movie in a theater at least once per month.
55) Drive a go-cart.

VOLUNTEERING/CHARITY

GENEALOGY
63) Finish the Moore family tree.
64) Finish the Grant family tree.
65) Finish the Peck family tree.
66) Finish the Cook family tree.
67) Upload them all to a Web site where distant relatives can add stories and photos.
RANDOMNESS
68) Go 24 hour straight without the internet. This includes internet on a cell phone.
69) Buy a new woredrobe.
70) Do at least 50 “crazy” things where I ask myself, “WHY THE HELL AM I DOING THIS???” (0/50)
