Dancing Colors

Dancing Colors was a body-detection project that encourages people to be active and dance in public.

Made in TouchDesigner, the Microsoft Kinect detects people and their silhouettes. The players can choose a song to dance to and their silhouettes pulse with the beat. As the player dances and stays with the beat their color goes from red to purple and on to multi-colored. If they keep it up long enough, their silhouette turns into three of them so they appear to be dancing in sync.

This project was shown at the 2019 Ohio University Student Research and Creative Expo and won 2nd place among Media Arts and Studies Graduates.
